Watch: Saudi Crown Prince smiles when asked about Jamal Khashoggi

Since US President Joe Biden landed in Saudi Arabia in the middle of a scorching summer, controversies have followed him. Now a video of Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman “smiling” after a reporter asked him about the murder of Jamal Khashoggi has gone viral on social media platforms.

Apparently, after a meeting concluded between the two parties, an NBC reporter named Peter Alexander shouted if the crown prince would apologize to Jamal Khashoggi’s family. However, the crown prince did not respond either, and the US side made no statement. Instead, after a while, when the reporter was muffled by the host, Mohammad bin Salman could be seen smirking.

Taking to Twitter, Peter Alexander remarked: “‘Jamal Khashoggi, are you going to apologize to his family?’ I shouted at Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman at the end of the press jet. MBS smirked slightly before a Saudi aide grabbed me firmly by the arm.”

However, after meeting with the crown prince, Biden informed the press that he had discussed the matter with him. “I was frank and direct in discussing it. I made my point of view clear. I said very frankly that the silence of an American president on a human rights issue is incompatible with who we are. are and who I am,” Biden said.

Biden later clarified when responding to the media, saying the Saudi leader told him he was not “personally responsible” for killing Khashoggi. “I indicated that I thought he was… He said he was not personally responsible and he took action against those responsible,” Biden said.
