To find missing British journalist Dom Phillips and indigenous expert Bruno Pereira, around 150 soldiers had been deployed via river boats. They also interview residents. Indigenous search teams are also searching for the pair for a week. The pair appeared to have taken a reporting trip to the remote jungle, where the world’s largest number of uncontacted natives reside.

Russia destroys bridge in Severodonetsk cutting off escape route

Pro-Russian separatists have held territory in Donbass since 2014 and the fight between Russia and Ukraine over Severodonetsk is linked to control of Donbass. Parts of the city have been pulverized in some of the bloodiest battles since Russia invaded Ukraine on February 24.
