KL Rahul is a special player but Kohli and Rohit belong to a different league, says ex-Pakistan captain

KL Rahul has been criticized by many for not switching gears in time during his team’s Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) clash against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the 2022 Indian Premier League (IPL) eliminator recently concluded. big target of 208 points, Rahul scored 79 out of 58 for LSG but failed to get them over the line as they lost the game by 14 points.

LSG withdrew from the tournament after losing to RCB in the Eliminator. Former Pakistani captain Rashid Latif recently shared his views on Rahul’s stick.

Latif said there was no doubt that Rahul was a good hitter and a special player, but he was not in the same league as Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma. The former Pakistani skipper explained that Rahul plays a lot of point balls and needs to work on that to improve his game.

“Didn’t he play for Punjab Kings before that? He used to beat until 15-18, while Glenn Maxwell barely faced 2 balls. The team didn’t qualify. Rahul has been one of the most consistent performers with Willow in the IPL over the past few seasons. He was the league’s top run-getter in IPL 2020 before finishing third on the roster in IPL 2021 last year. He once again topped the 600-carry mark this season to continue his purple spot. However, his efforts were not enough to take his team to the season finale.
