Johnny Depp debuts on TikTok, gains over 4 million followers

A week after the jury delivered its verdict, mostly in favor of Johnny Depp in the defamation case against ex-wife Amber Heard, the actor debuted on Tik Tok and amassed more than 4 million app followers.

Upon his arrival on Tik Tok, the Hollywood actor posted a video dedicating it to his fans for the support they gave during the six-week trial. The video was posted Tuesday morning and had more than 2 million views within two hours of posting. The same video was also shared on his Instagram and Facebook accounts.

The video featured various clips of fans cheering him on during his defamation lawsuit against ex-wife and actress Amber Heard. The video also included shots of him in his car to and from the courthouse as well as clips from various concerts he performed around the UK.

Depp included a long caption with a video where he thanked his fans for their support. He didn’t mention the track anywhere in the caption or video.

“To all my most valued, loyal and steadfast supporters. We’ve been everywhere together, we’ve seen it all together. We’ve walked the same path together. We’ve done the right thing together, all because you care. care,” he wrote in the post. “And now we will all move forward together. You are, as always, my employers and once again I am left with no way to thank you other than to simply say thank you. So, thank you. My love and respect, JD.”

After the verdict, what’s next for Johnny Depp and Amber Heard?

Shortly after Depp’s video was posted, Amber Heard’s rep reacted to the post and said, “As Johnny Depp says, he’s ‘moving forward’. Women’s rights are moving backwards. Verdict message to victims of domestic violence is… Be afraid to stand up and speak up.”

Depp has made several public appearances in the past few weeks since the trial ended. He performed with musician Jeff Beck across the UK, he hosted a dinner party in Birmingham, UK at an Indian restaurant where he spent a whopping $62,000.
