Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) had a strong IPL 2022 edition. Being one of two debutants, the team managed by KL Rahul qualified for the playoffs before retiring in the Eliminator, losing to Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), but saw many players raise their hands to ensure Lucknow got off to a good start in their first IPL season. .
Among their many top performers, Mohsin Khan scored Rahul & Co. The pacer only played nine games, however, he came back with 14 wickets at a save rate of 5.96. In fact, among all the bowlers who bowled more than 30 times in the 15th season, 23-year-old Mohsin’s saving was only second to Sunil Narine of the Kolkata Knight Riders (5.57).
Recently, Mohsin’s coach Badruddin Siddiqui, who also worked with Mohammed Shami earlier, recalled the latter’s talk about the LSG pacer. “When the auction was going on, I was sitting with Shami on his farm. He was chosen, and so was Mohsin. And then we had a conversation about him. Shami said to me, ‘If you Just give him four months, I’ll make him India’s best all-rounder.” He’s a very good drummer. And even KL Rahul said earlier that he has a good understanding of the game,” Siddiqui revealed during a chat on Yaari sports.

Siddiqui also praised senior pacer Shami for his talent in helping youngsters. “There can be a lot of bowlers, but you have to have a good understanding. You have to know which ball to use against which batsman. Today Shami is a great bowler. But he is always ready to help promising youngsters,” said added the coach.
Mohsin, despite having a good run at IPL 2022, is not part of India’s squad for the home T20Is in South Africa. He, however, made his mark in the league’s cash-rich 15th season and will be eager to continue his impressive run on the domestic stage to earn a call-up to India.
