Elon Musk will address Twitter employees at Town Hall meeting and take direct questions

Elon Musk, who is in the process of acquiring social media giant Twitter, will interact with Twitter employees this week for the first time. This will be Musk’s first public meeting with employees after announcing a $44 billion bid to acquire Twitter in April.

The news, first reported by Business Insider, comes after Twitter said last week it expected a shareholder vote on the sale in early August.

Reuters quoted a source who confirmed the upcoming town hall meeting citing an email from Twitter CEO Parag Agrawal.

The meeting is scheduled for Thursday, and Musk will take questions directly from Twitter employees.

A Twitter spokesperson confirmed that Musk will be attending the company’s general meeting this week.

Twitter employees have expressed concern over the billionaire’s takeover, fearing erratic behavior that could destabilize the company.

In April, Agrawal was seen easing employee anger at a company-wide meeting where staff demanded answers on how managers planned to handle an anticipated mass exodus sparked by Musk.

Last week, Musk warned Twitter that he could walk away from his deal to acquire the company if he didn’t provide the spam and fake account data he was looking for.
