‘Bowling Department Jos Buttler’: Harbhajan Singh praises Rajasthan Royals spinner

Former Indian cricket team spinner Harbhajan Singh has praised Rajasthan Royals’ Yuzvendra Chahal for his brilliant performance in the 2022 Indian Premier League (IPL). The leg spinner, who joined RR for 65 million of rupees in the mega auction after not being retained by Royal Challengers Bangalore, was one of their best players with 26 wickets. He formed a partnership with Ravichandran Ashwin which was extremely beneficial to his team. Thanks to his performance, RR was able to book his place in the final of IPL 2022 where he will face debutants Gujarat Titans.

In an interaction with Sportskeeda, Harbhajan said Chahal won a game for the Rajasthan Royals and explained that he was the only one who “played like a spinner”.

“Yuzvendra Chahal is the Jos Buttler in the bowling department. He has won games with his bowling performance. In my opinion, he is the only slow bowler in IPL who plays like a spinner. He plays slow in the air, spinning the ball and tricking batters out of the crease and chasing it. Other spinners bowl fast and are namesake spinners. Spinners are supposed to spin the ball. This is where you will get spinners. counters,” Harbhajan explained.
