2022 ISSF Shooting World Cup: Olympian Anjum Moudgil wins silver medal

Indian Olympian Anjum Moudgil clinched a silver medal in the women’s 50m rifle 3 position (3P) event at the 2022 ISSF Shooting World Cup held in Baku, Azerbaijan on Friday. Anjum was terrific throughout the event before narrowly losing to Denmark’s Rikke Ibsen, who won the gold medal. She came up short at 16-12 despite her best efforts. With this, India’s medal tally at the event jumps to three.

Previously, Swapnil Kusale had won the silver medal in the 50m rifle 3P. Meanwhile, in the women’s 10m air rifle event, the team of Elavenil Valarivan, Ramita and Shreya Agrawal won a gold medal beating Denmark by a 17-5 margin. The World Cup, which started on May 27, will continue until June 7.
